ProMariner's New, Advanced, Electronic ProTournament
Battery Charger Enhances Battery Performance on the Water.
MILWAUKEE (December 27, 2001) - ProMariner has added the
latest in advanced, electronic, 3-step charging technology
to their complete line of marine battery chargers. This fully
automatic 12-, 24- or 36-volt "waterproof" marine
battery charger is pre-wired for easy installation.
Designed with advanced technology for faster charging, the
ProTournament offers "Distributed-On-Demand 3-Step Charging,"
which will charge batteries on-board 2 to 3 times faster than
leading traditional chargers. ProMariner's Distributed On-Demand
feature automatically senses and distributes its full rated
output of 10, 15 or 30 amps (model specific) to any one bank
or a combination of all three banks. ProTournament distributes
and uses every charging amp with no waste, unlike other 2-and
3-bank chargers with an amp limit per bank. The ProTournament
will charge your batteries to 100 %, even with AC line voltage
as low as 90VAC, as is sometimes seen with the use of extension
cords at the dock, lodging site or home.
The ProTournament's waterproof design can be used for all
saltwater and freshwater applications. Advanced 3-step charging
includes an absorption cycle to knock sulfates off battery
plates while conditioning and extending battery life. Its
gentle float mode will maintain batteries for an indefinite
period of time and will never overcharge. Tri-Mode LED indicators
and on-board push-to-test battery bank indicators provide
charging cycle and battery charge level status.
A rugged, low-profile, all-aluminum housing provides superior
cooling at half the weight and height of most traditional
chargers. The unit is not potted or filled with epoxy for
a lifetime of use and serviceability.
Built-in safety features include fused output cables, reverse
polarity, ignition and overtemperature protection. The ProTournament
charger is designed to UL 1236 Marine and FCC Class B certifications.
An optional remote temperature sensor, remote battery bank
status monitor and AC plug holder are all available.
ProMariner has been a recognized leader in the design and
manufacture of advanced electronic charging systems, corrosion-control
